Change CSV Delimiter
Convert CSV data between different delimiters with proper quote handling
Last updated: October 14, 2026
CSV with quoted values is supported.
How to use
- Paste CSV data above and choose the delimiter you’re converting from and to.
- Use the custom option for any single character (e.g., `~`).
- Converted values stay quoted, so headers and commas remain intact.

Convert CSV separators without changing field values
Paste text with one CSV record per line. Choose comma, semicolon, tab, pipe, or a custom delimiter for both the input and output. The converter reads separators outside quoted fields, preserves doubled quotes, and adds quotes when an output field contains the selected separator or a quote.
For example, a row such as name,"Doe, Jane" can be converted from commas to semicolons while keeping Doe, Jane in one field. Blank lines are retained. The current parser processes each physical line separately, so a quoted field that itself contains a line break is not supported; use a CSV tool with multiline-record parsing for that file.
Review the output before importing it into a spreadsheet or database, especially when choosing a custom delimiter. Conversion runs in your browser, and the pasted CSV is not sent to a server.
