Decode hexadecimal bytes as UTF-8 text

Enter hex bytes as a continuous string or separate them with spaces. Each byte needs two hexadecimal digits. A leading 0x prefix is accepted. For example, 48 69 decodes to Hi; E2 9C 93 decodes to the UTF-8 check mark character.

The converter removes whitespace and non-hex characters, builds a byte array, and decodes it with a strict UTF-8 decoder. An odd number of hex digits or a byte sequence that is not valid UTF-8 produces an error rather than replacement characters. Check that the source bytes really use UTF-8: other encodings may decode to different text or fail validation.

The result can be copied or downloaded as text. Conversion happens locally in the browser; input is not sent to a server.
