Map byte values to characters

Enter decimal bytes or 0x-prefixed hexadecimal bytes separated by spaces or commas. Each value from 0 through 255 is mapped directly to a JavaScript character. For example, 72 101 108 108 111 produces “Hello”. Values above 127 map to extended single-byte character codes; they are not standard 7-bit ASCII.

This direct byte-to-character mapping does not decode UTF-8. Characters encoded using multiple UTF-8 bytes may appear incorrectly; use a UTF-8 decoder for those sequences. The current parser also reads integer prefixes, so only enter complete valid byte values.

Conversion happens in your browser, and you can copy the result.
